We just finished exhibiting at the Miami Book Fair. It was a three-day nonstop event, Friday through Sunday from ten in the morning to seven at night. I doubt I have ever spoken to so many people individually, one after the other, and for nine hours straight. A key action for me is to not sit down, which means standing up for the entire time. What kept me going was the energy, enthusiasm, and interest of the many people I spoke to. For me, it was a blast. We sold more books than we expected.

To the many people I talked with, it was a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to hearing from you. Lastly, to Mary Jo and Joanna, you guys rocked! Make no mistake, it takes a team to really succeed, and we did.

What was it like? I’ll show you. Please see this video. By the way, we were always one of the first there and the last to leave. Was that significant? I think so. Nothing sells like enthusiasm and purpose.

My opening was simple, “Would you like to read a good book? A really good book?”
