How many times a day do we look up?
Chances are we’re looking down at our phones, and it is there that our attention remains. What we miss seeing is the clouds. Looking up at them requires little effort—only the tilting upward of our heads. All we ever wanted to imagine is in their shifting shapes.
It is a proven maxim in motorcycle racing, horseback riding, and any human sport requiring motion that we travel in the direction we are looking.
Perhaps we should ask, why we’re looking down all the time, if up is where we want to go?
