First award: “Best First Book (Fiction)” in the IRDAs!

Eye of the Moon won the “Best First Book” in the fiction category of the 2018 IndieReader Discovery Awards (IRDAs). I received the award at BookCon in New York, which was held at the Javits Center.

The award speaks for itself. I would like to thank everyone who helped Eye of the Moon achieve that recognition, including the many readers and others, too numerous to mention individually.

As an additional note, what has made the most impression on me as a writer is that the completion of a book is relatively small in terms of time and effort when compared to what is required to make a work truly well known and successful.

There are many who have done just that, and without reservation, they have my respect and admiration. Such quantitative success is a worthy accomplishment, whose magnitude is often overlooked.

Once again, many thanks to everyone. There are many more successes to come.
